Coined “Atlanta’s Next Great Storyteller,” GRIP is undoubtedly, an artist you need to watch. Now, GRIP returns, making major flames with sophomore album SNUBNOSE – a defiant project that evinces the voice of any Atlanta native caught in the everyday struggle, anywhere from poverty, to displacement and depression – he’s not about the riches, he’s about the real.
GRIP spits bars only pain could motivate, getting a grip on reality, “I need healing and a blessing, mama dealin’ with depression, I know because I deal with it daily but still gon’ kill it in succession,” a verse from the track “Pressed,” sampling the essential soul for GRIP to set off.
Earlier this year, Audible Hustle deemed GRIP a straight “Standout,” following the fiery release of his “Bregma Freestyle II,” a track that proved the artist’s potential to be one of the game’s greatest lyricists, while promoting a sneak peek into his sophomore album SNUBNOSE.
We came, we listened, and we can now confirm, GRIP is one artist that’s here to stay. Don’t just take our word for it, you know what to do…
