Big Boi Debuts “Mic Jack” Music Video After Performing Live on The Voice

– After announcing the June 16th release date for Boomiverse LP, Big Boi has unveiled the music video for his single, “ Mic Jack ”, featuring Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.

Thus far, as we lead up to the release of Boomiverse LP, Big Boi has released two singles for our listening pleasure. He first dropped “Kill Jill” featuring fellow ATL giants Killer Mike and Jeezy. He then released the more commercially appealing “ Mic Jack ” where he calls on Adam Levine for assistance on the hook. Now, we have visuals to match.

The music video has a distinctly fun vibe, and as a result, doesn’t put strong emphasis on acting. This is most noticeable as both Big Boi and Adam Levine attempt to keep straight faces through the humor. However, the images and locations are crisp, clean, and creative as we follow the characters deep inside a dry cleaners’, into outer space, and to a car wash.

The release of the “ Mic Jack ” music video was also well-planned seeing that it came shortly after Big Boi and Adam Levine performed the song for the first time together on NBC’s The Voice (where Levine is also a judge).

Boomiverse LP will be available for purchase on June 16th and will follow up Big Boi’s 2012 album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors.
