Born in the small South Georgia town of Sylvester, Big Meats has made a hell of a journey. He’s come a long way from pursuing the ever evasive college degree that became the inspiration behind his “College Grad Loser” movement. He’s also made noticeable improvements on his path to better health and wellness. Now, following his 2015 debut album, Financial Aid, Big Meats has returned with a new 14-track project titled Boy Meets World and we just had to share it with you!
BOY MEATS WORLD !
Having cited Big K.R.I.T as well as Kanye West’s College Dropout, as early musical influences, Boy Meats World’s smooth production and laid back flows make it easy to draw those comparisons. On the other hand, Big Meats brings an entirely new element that has allowed him to earn his own faithful fan base. With truly honest and soul-bearing stories, his loyal following (known as the College Grad Losers) are often inspired by Big Meats’ own hardships and his drive to overcome them. Make no mistakes, Big Meats can go bar for bar with the best of them. Even the most judgmental hip-hop fan would nod in approval. BTW, if you’re in Atlanta and missed him at The #AudibleHustle concert series last week, sheesh – I pity the fool.
All things considered, Boy Meats World is a creative, well put-together project that has the strong potential to become an instant classic. And, I must say, with Big Meats’ unmatched work ethic, it is bound to happen. Just remember where you caught the wave first.
