Sparking just as much controversy as it does appeal, with Billboard forced to rethink its rules for artists promoting merchandise bundlesJACKBOYS, the debut compilation album from the Travis Scott-led rap collective JackBoys, is undoubtedly, a must-listen.

American rapper-singer and songwriter, Travis Scott, proves far beyond a musical talent, he’s also an astounding marketer; heavily wielding his prowess as a social influencer with over 20 million followers, to boost his personal brand – and JACKBOYS is instrumental to that growth.

After the colossal release of his platinum debut album Free 6LACK, 6LACK returns two years later with the next chapter: East Atlanta Love Letter, a deep reflection of love, lament and life in Atlanta…

…but this isn’t a love story. Born Ricardo Valdez Valentine, 6LACK (pronounced “black”), delivers an impassioned and personal project sifting his anguished self apart by way of recovery, best exploited in “Disconnect” and “Switch” before redeeming himself with “Sorry”.

He sets a despondent mood, seamlessly rectified by alluring vocals and nostalgic piano ballads with guest features from J Cole, Future, Khalid and Offset. This alternative R&B album sees 6LACK unravel major headway in “Pretty Little Fears (ft. J Cole)” and “Scripture”, leaving the woes behind and holding hope for a defying affinity with “Stan”.

As 6LACK embraces fatherhood, he holds his one-year-old daughter Syx Rose Valentine (featured on the cover), as the muse behind his entirety, serving “a purpose bigger than himself”, and it’s evident – these love letters are far from finished.

- 6lack has been teasing the release of his sophomore album, East Atlanta Love Letter, for some time. Now, he’s announced that a lucky few will have the pleasure of previewing the project in a wildly unique way.

After releasing one of the best R&B albums of 2017, the Grammy-nominated East Atlanta native is ready to follow up with a bang. About 2 weeks ago, 6lack dropped the official cover for East Atlanta Love Letter which damn near broke the internet by itself. However, the tracklist, which includes features from J. Cole, Young Thug, Khalid, Offset, and Future, sent fans further into a frenzy. If that wasn’t enough, 6lack has now put together an album listening experience that won’t be easily forgotten.

Tomorrow (Thursday, September 13th) you can join 6lack at Starlight Drive-In Theater on the historic Moreland Ave. to listen to the album before its official release.  According to 6lack, the best way to experience an album for the first time is in the car with your friends and I can’t say I disagree.

The event will be held from 7pm -10pm and will only allow the first 140 cars to enter on a first come first serve basis.

If you’re free tomorrow night, make sure you check it out. Not only is the event bound to be quite an experience, but East Atlanta Love Letter is expected to be one of the better album drops of the year from one of Atlanta’s best young talents.
