— Southern lyricist, Big K.R.I.T., has announced the release of his fourth studio album, given us an official release date, and has dropped the album’s first single, “K.R.I.T. Iz Here”.

Back in 2010, Big K.R.I.T. dropped his breakout mixtape, K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, to critical acclaim and was instantly placed on the radar of many avid underground Hip-Hop fans. Now, 9 years later, Big K.R.I.T. has announced that his next studio album will be titled K.R.I.T. Iz Here.

K.R.I.T. Iz Here will be Big K.R.I.T.’s first album since his 2017 double LP, 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time, but it seems that this will be well worth the wait. Not only will the album’s source of inspiration encourage Big K.R.I.T. to bring his A-game, but he’s already given us a glimpse of what we can expect with his first single, “K.R.I.T. Here”.

The Camper-produced single plays perfectly to K.R.I.T.’s southern roots with smooth Gospel-like background vocals and instrumentation. As far as the lyrics go, K.R.I.T. declares his official arrival as he discusses topics like self-elevation and appreciation, independence, and more.

K.R.I.T. Iz Here is set to drop on June 12th. Until then, check out the cover art, created by Mihailo, Steven Othello, and Sig, as well as the full “K.R.I.T. Here” track, above.
