On the come-up from Georgia, 20-year-old rapper-singer, Quando Rondo, releases his heavy debut album QPac, which sees the Atlantic Records‘ artist resonate with the hardships of the late legend Tupac Shakur.

While a hip hop freshman, Rondo divulges substantial appeal, from spitting profound bars in-between searching for “Real Love” and taking “Collect Calls,” to entwining urban melodies amid his “Codeine Tales” of ‘dopeboy dreamin‘ to swearing by the hustle in “Letter to My Daughter,” a heartfelt ode to his newborn.

QPac is the highly anticipated follow-up from Rondo‘s well-received mixtape, From the Neighbourhood to the Stage (2019). QPac sees several references to the life and work of 2Pac and while promising, the artist’s intrepid self-comparison to 2Pac as an artist – is better left a defiant aspiration rather than a truth.

The 18-track album features Luh Kel, Polo G, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, and Lil Durk.

When you combine one of the industry’s most sensual voices, Tory Lanez, with sampling from the crème de la crème of R&B hits made in the 2000s, what you get is a straight-laced, chart-topper: Chixtape 5.

Following months on-end of fans awaiting the well-hyped album, the Interscope Records‘ artist, “a proud student of 2000s R&B,” finally launched his exclusive project, an 18-track album dedicated to remaking the greats from the 2000s, and in less than two weeks from the release date of Chixtape 5, Tory Lanez crowns the second spot on the new Billboard 200 (right after Celine Dion).

Not only does Lanez remake the greats, he features the artists who birthed them. Chixtape 5 sees immaculate, honey-dipped links track-after-track between Tory Lanez and each original artist stepping in on the new remake of their classic.

Chixtape 5 features Jagged Edge, Jermaine Dupri, T-Pain, Snoop Dogg, Ashanti, Lloyd, Lil WayneChris Brown, Ludacris, Mýa, The-Dream, Mario, Trey Songz, Fabolous, Slim & Nyce… do we need to say more?

Atlantic Records‘ fresh-faced rapper-singer and songwriter, YBN Cordae, stupefies listeners with his debut solo album The Lost Boy – a bona fide and impassioned project well beyond his years.

YBN Cordae, born Cordae Amari Dunston, first made a name for himself as part of the YBN gang, the young “internet rap clique” that went viral. Now, Cordae rightly sets him self apart as an independent artist with the very aptitude to rewrite the rules of the game.

Cordae is undeniably unique by nature, flipping the switch from witty (“RNP” feat. Anderson .Paak) and somewhat comical, to gritty and gripping (“Broke as F**k“), everywhere from spitting full-hearted bars (“Nightmares Are Real” feat. Pusha T) , to delving into soul with mellow vocals; this is one upcoming artist the industry’s bound to watch.

The Lost Boy also features Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla $ign, Meek Mill, and Arin Ray.
