Listen now below.

— Dreamville signees, Bas and J.I.D, have finally teamed up on a record and drop “Fried Rice” just as the summer begins to heat up.

With Bas and J.I.D both earning a spot on J.Cole’s Dreamville roster as 2 of the hottest young rappers in Hip-Hop right now, it’s only right that we get a few dope collabs out of them. While they’ve previously appeared on “Can’t Call it” along with J. Cole and Earthgang, their latest release, “Fried Rice”, is the first time we’ve seen the duo on a song without anyone else. Well, now that we’re here and the early listeners have spoken, there are no clear signs of disappointment.

The KQuick-produced track starts off with a sonically distorted intro/chorus performed by Bas just before he gets into his first verse and proclaims to have “the city up under the wing like it’s fried rice”. J.I.D later enters with his signature wordplay and fast raps as he dissects the beat with surgical precision.

A few months ago, “Fried Rice” was seen on a tentative tracklist during a livestream of the Revenge of the Dreamers III sessions. This has lead many to believe that it will be featured on the upcoming project, but there has been no such confirmation so far.

Check out the full track above and be prepared for a damn good summer from the Dreamville camp.
