After enduring  a  “trash” relationship with Def Jam Recordings, which threw his third studio album into limbo, August Alsina has finally returned – solo, and ready to heat things up.

It’s the end of an era with Def Jam and the beginning of something new for Alsina – freedom. Finally “free, Alsina now debuts as an independent artist in the all-new single “Like You Love Me“, making major steam with a sultry music video to suit, while proving he’s all set to Shake the World – the name of his very own record label.

If you vibe to alternative R&B, feeling the sounds of Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez, Jacquees, and Jeremih, to name a few, then your ears are yet to experience the pure passion and poise that Alsina delivers – one well-oiled single at a time.

Whether or not Alsina releases his next album anytime soon, one thing’s certain – “Like You Love Me” is sure to affix to your love-making playlist.

Peep the steamy music video below.

In the spirit of Friday the 13th last weekend, New York City wordsmiths, Fabolous and Jadakiss, decided to release a new track titled, “Rapture”. The track will be featured on their upcoming joint project and it includes vocals from Tory Lanez on the chorus.

Vinylz and Cam O’Bi provided the sampled production by putting a spin on Anita Baker’s 1986 hit, “Caught Up in the Rapture”, and (as you would expect) Fabolous and Jadakiss delivered their trademark punchlines and wordplay in order to make the song complete.

Fabolous has clearly been hard at work seeing that his joint project with Trey Songz, Trappy New Year, was recently released as was the music video for their remix to YFN Lucci’s 2016 hit, “Key to the Streets”.

Check out “Rapture” as well as the trailer for Freddy vs. Jason, below:

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held in Indio, California, is by far one of the biggest music festivals in the world. People come from near and far to see their favorite A-list performers stop by and leave it all on the stage. However, while Coachella is known for diversifying the genres of its performers, this year there will be a heavy dosage of hip-hop and R&B as Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar headline the event.
Other hip-hop/R&B acts that will be performing include Travis Scott, Denzel Curry, Gucci Mane, Future, Kehlani, Nav, Goldlink, Tory Lanez, Mac Miller, Lil Uzi Vert, Kaytranada, DJ Khaled, Schoolboy Q, Sampha, Majid Jordan, and Raury.
Coachella will be held over two separate weekends this spring from April 14th to 16th and April 21st to 23rd. Tickets are known to sell out ridiculously fast (record time being 20 minutes) so, if you want to be in attendance, make sure you move with a purpose.
